About the role...

 

The Business Development (BD) Manager is responsible for new business sales, up-selling new services. Primary focus will be driving new business and marketing our business solutions to the market.

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Consult with clients on key solution requirements
  • Generate and close new business opportunities
  • Manages Pre-Sales Activities (e.g. assisting with tender responses, bid management, project proposals, as required).
  • Proactive networking and cold calling to identify and develop new leads and opportunities.
  • Grow profit margins within an existing customer base
  • Ensuring existing clients are well serviced and that opportunities for projects are identified and passed on to the project management team.
  • Apply market feedback to product development and enhancement projects.
  • Demonstrates our products and services to key stakeholders (including potential customers, suppliers and strategic alliances) and initiates discussions with them about how we can meet their requirements in the context of our current and future ITS capabilities
  • Represents our products at relevant conferences, trade shows and exhibitions.
  • Developing & maintaining internal relations with senior leadership, operations and
    product teams to ensure prospective opportunities have the maximum exposure and resource attributed to them.

 

About You...

 

Skills and Experience

  • Min. 3 years experience in a BDM role
  • Full understanding of the hospitality industry 
  • CRM, reporting and pipeline management
  • An ability to articulate technical solutions
  • Knowledge of the sales cycle
  • Ability to undertake customer facing presentations
  • Superior negotiation and commercial decision making abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Current Driver's Licence
